Part prairie, part sandbar, Sand Prairie is one of Missouri’s rarest natural communities.
Located in southeast Missouri’s Scott County, Sand Prairie unique habitat is the result of river channels that formerly flowed through the area.

20 species of flowering forb species, with at least 3 species in each bloom period. No single forb species will be included at rates over 10%, or less than .1%.  Annual/Biennial forbs will not exceed 10%. 2 species of milkweed included at 3%.  All seed used will meet the Missouri Seed Source Georgraphy, and seed test dates will comply.
